    Hi there

Its quite breathtaking to come across this site, i wish i was joining you in your conferences, here in sunny South Africa we dont have surch circles gathering around such important work. I will have to make a wish that one day i may meet some of this powerful wise women.

    • gscholars says:

Thank you for your kind response. This particular circle has been a long time in the making. Even in the US, scholars and artists are often scattered and isolated in their work. We will second your wish that you might be able to attend one of our events to meet our speakers and presenters. We are also planning to publish papers from this conference in our proceedings. Best wishes in your work and in finding or founding a circle in South Africa.

Is is possible to post the agenda for the conference? Thank you!

    • gscholars says:

Yes–we’re working on a version of the schedule today! Watch for the post this week.
      Thanks for your interest.

Like the woman in South Africa, I was blessed to find this site. Ana Castillo’s work has long been in my life, and I sorely regret that I will miss the conference. However, I want to become a member of ASWM in my efforts to further explore and connect with Her, and the possibilities you may present along my Path.

    • gscholars says:

We welcome you as a member! We’re thrilled to have Ana as a keynote speaker. Sorry that you can’t make it to the conference this year. Next year will be regional symposium, then another conference in 2014–let’s hope that by then you’ll be able to attend.

Do I have to be a member to attend some lectures of this meeting? Will Christine Downing come too?

    • gscholars says:

We have rates for nonmembers as well as members, though of course we hope that everyone will want to join. It’s not possible for members or nonmembers to attend without registering, however. As you can see from the program and list of speakers, we have a very ambitious schedule and we just can’t afford to let folks drop in on single lectures. There may be (limited) opportunities for volunteers to receive partial fee waivers.
We will certainly post to this site if Christine Downing, or anyone else, is added to our program.
Hope you can come to join us.

What a wonderful resource! I’m delighted to have found you, and have become a member. I regret that I will not be able to make it to the conference, but it looks amazing.

    • gscholars says:

      Hi Kristen,
Welcome to ASWM. Sorry you can’t attend this year but we hope you’ll be able to come to one of our events in the near future. (Next year we will have a one-day symposium in the Midwest, and in spring of 2014 our conference will be in TX.)
      Thanks for joining our community!
